My New Friend The Beer Belly

Be Gone Beer Belly!

When i was 18 (with a six pack across my abs) I used to look at my dad's beer belly and say,"that will never happen to me." 7 years later i look at my abs and think, "there might be a six pack under that beer belly." :(

It all started after I turned 21. My six pack slowly started to fade away. It might of been the bud lite, it might of been the happy hour nachos, and i am sure all the sundays watching football eating chicken wings didn't help any.

You know its bad when you look at your self in the mirror and think about Pulp Fiction. You know that seen when Bruce Willis talking with his wife in the hotel room. Then his wife tells him how she wants a "Big sexy pot belly"? I found myself looking in the mirror and telling my self "It could be sexy" and "Don't worry, its not going to get any bigger."

One of my best friends (known the guy since Jr. high) saw me changing my shirt and said "Jeez, starting to pack on the pounds are ya?" Let me tell ya, i'v gotten pretty good at defending myself and my new friend the beer belly :)

I'm 25, 5'12, about 185, ex-smoker (quit smoking after 12 years), lanky body build, semi-attractive male living in kirkland washington.

I have made up my mind! Beer Belly Be Gone! I'v had enough, its over, i dont want to see you any more, go away and never come back. Its going to be hard, but so was quitting smoking. I can do it, all it's going to take is a little self discipline, cutting back on the happy hour adventures, and a little excersize......Right?

So this is my story. My blog about the adventure that i am about to take to loose my belly, my friend, my storage unit of gourmet good.

Good by beer belly, I would kiss you good by but i can't reach that far :)
